Inspiring every child to invent, build, and shape the future
Bring STEM to Life in Your Classroom
Inspire curiosity and creativity in EYFS–KS2 with our expert-led, hands-on STEM workshops. Covering engineering, inventing, coding, and more, our sessions spark excitement while reinforcing core curriculum concepts.
Our workshops are:
- Curriculum-linked – designed to strengthen pupils’ understanding of STEM in fun, practical ways.
- Impactful across the curriculum – research shows that taking part in engineering activities can boost attainment in every subject.
- Expert led – delivered by qualified and experienced primary teachers who connect learning directly to the curriculum.
- Hassle-free – we bring everything with us, whether in-person or online. Booking is quick and simple, and prep time is minimal.
- Flexible – choose from in-person sessions, live virtual workshops, or cost-effective pre-recorded options.
In-Person Engineering & Machines Workshops
These workshops can also be linked to the 2026 theme 'Curiosity...what's your question?'
What could you engineer using simple machines?
In this workshop, children learn about engineering, machines and the six simple machines. They build and test different machines, including levers, pulleys and inclined planes. Wheels & Axles can also be included.
We take part in practical activities to understand how electricity is generated and how electrical circuits conduct electricity as well as using solar panels and building wind turbines.
EYFS: This workshop links to forces as children explore engineering with levers by building seesaws, lifting books and firing catapults, and includes our song, warm up and a story.
KS1: This workshop focuses on machines and mechanisms as we learn about some of the different kinds of machines that engineers can build.
Children listen to a story and then take elements of the story to build with levers and pulleys. There's an additional Bonus Activity which continues the workshop to learn about and build ramps or inclined planes.
"The children loved the activities - they felt like games so they didn't even realise they were learning."W
KS2: This STEM Workshop is perfect to teach your KS2 pupils about engineering and simple machines with hands-on engineering activities, building inclined planes and levers, as well as a final fun engineering challenge.
"I couldn't believe how easy it was to use this with my class. We learnt loads and it was really easy for me to set up and lead without having to do anything in advance."
