Inspiring every child to invent, build, and shape the future
Bring STEM to Life in Your Classroom
Inspire curiosity and creativity in EYFS–KS2 with our expert-led, hands-on STEM workshops. Covering engineering, inventing, coding, and more, our sessions spark excitement while reinforcing core curriculum concepts.
Our workshops are:
- Curriculum-linked – designed to strengthen pupils’ understanding of STEM in fun, practical ways.
- Impactful across the curriculum – research shows that taking part in engineering activities can boost attainment in every subject.
- Expert led – delivered by qualified and experienced primary teachers who connect learning directly to the curriculum.
- Hassle-free – we bring everything with us, whether in-person or online. Booking is quick and simple, and prep time is minimal.
- Flexible – choose from in-person sessions, live virtual workshops, or cost-effective pre-recorded options.
Engineering & the Environment Workshops
These workshops can also be linked to the 2026 theme 'Curiosity...what's your question?'
In this workshop, children learn about how we need to change and adapt the way we generate electricity from fossil fuels to sustainable energy sources like solar and wind, with hands-on activities.
We take part in practical activities to understand how electricity is generated and how electrical circuits conduct electricity as well as using solar panels and building wind turbines.
EYFS: We look at ways we can reduce, reuse and recycle through practical activities, songs, movement and a story.
KS1: We take part in practical activities to understand how electricity is generated and how electrical circuits conduct electricity as well as using solar panels and building wind turbines.
KS2: We learn about the impact of unsustainable energy on our planet and how engineers have designed sustainable energy sources to help, as we investigate wind turbines, including gears.

For just £99* you can use the workshop with as many KS1 classes as you like for one whole school year on your own schedule.
Please be aware that for this workshop you will need to source some simple materials in advance such as paper cups, pipecleaners and googly eyes. We estimate the total materials costs for running this workshop with one class of 30 pupils would be less than £15, with each additional class costing significantly less than this.
* Discounts are available when purchasing more than one workshop at the same time, for small schools or when you will use the workshop with a single class.
For information on discounts or if you want to get a taste first or have any questions email laura@inventorsandmakers.com
- Assemblies are also available to support the workshops.
