The Environment - Nurturing Nature Workshop for Schools

Join Beatrice, an environmentalist beekeeper, inspiring kids to protect our planet!

Join Beatrice, a passionate environmentalist and dedicated beekeeper, as she sparks curiosity about our planet and the importance of sustainability. Through drama and play, Beatrice guides children on an exciting journey to understand the environment and how we can protect it. In this lively workshop, children will take part in fast-paced drama games to explore climate and climate change, dive into natural and man-made environments through improvisation, and investigate real-world environmental challenges in a fun ‘news report’ role-play. They will also perform an eco-friendly poem to bring sustainability to life through creativity and finish with a quick-fire quiz to test their new knowledge.

Format

The session begins with an energetic drama warm-up led by a costumed actor playing Beatrice, introducing key environmental ideas. Through fast-paced drama games and improvisation, children explore climate and habitats, investigate real issues via a news report role-play, perform an eco-themed poem, and finish with a fun quiz.

Understanding the Environment
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of what the environment is, including natural and man-made elements and how human actions affect it. They will learn basic concepts of climate and climate change in an age-appropriate way and recognise simple actions that support sustainability. Through drama and role-play, they will develop empathy, teamwork, communication skills and confidence in expressing ideas creatively. The workshop also strengthens listening, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while reinforcing learning through performance, discussion, and play.

Cost

Prices start at £130 for a single workshop (online), or £295 on-site for a single 2 hour workshop, with discounts available when multiple sessions are booked. Whether on-site or online, we are also able to deliver two different topics to different year groups on the same day.

Testimonials

"Equally impressive was the environment workshop, which perfectly complemented our recent focus on sustainability and protecting the planet. The content reinforced key messages we had been exploring in class and provided a real-world context that helped deepen the children’s understanding. The hands-on approach made the learning both memorable and impactful."
