Interactive Medieval Knights Workshop for Schools – Hands-On History Experience

Experience medieval history with our Medieval Knights Workshop! Led by a knight, children will explore medieval life through storytelling, artefact handling, games, and designing a coat of arms. They’ll also take part in an exciting Black Death role-play, making history fun and interactive!

Format

Our sessions have been thoughtfully developed to be as engaging and hands-on as possible. We use a carousel format to provide all of the sessions for up to 4 classes! That's a full day (9-3) for ALL!

Y3 - Y6

Introduction

Step back in time as our medieval knight captivates children with his impressive armour and weaponry while sharing fascinating stories about life in medieval England.

Workshop Activities

Medieval Artefact Handling: Children will explore a collection of replica artefacts, discovering the tools and everyday items used by people in medieval times.

Designing a Coat of Arms: After studying real examples, children will sketch their own unique coat of arms. They’ll refine their designs before creating a final version on parchment paper using a quill and ink.

Medieval Games: Kids will enjoy playing authentic medieval board games, experiencing the entertainment of the past firsthand—always a favourite activity!
