Battle Formations and Tactics
The Battle Formations and Tactics session is the day’s highlight. Children are equipped with their own sword and shield, learning the legendary formations and strategies that helped the Romans conquer vast territories.

Other Roman Activities
In the Archaeological Dig, children sift through sand trays to uncover real artefacts, some dating back to Roman times, while others are from Anglo-Saxon and Viking eras. They’ll investigate and learn about their discoveries.
During Roman Board Games, children play on hand-crafted replicas of ancient Roman games, recreating the fun Romans enjoyed 2,000 years ago.
In Roman Scribe, children use authentic papyrus from Egypt, along with reed pens and ink, to write in Latin just as Roman scribes once did.
Depending on the schedule and logistics, additional sessions may be added, such as presentations on the Roman Military Machine or the Roman Marching Pack, adding depth and variety to the day’s experience.
