Introduction - Mummification – Helping Empa Reach the Afterlife
Meet Empa, the village’s skilled embalmer, who has spent years preparing Ancient Egyptians for their journey to the afterlife. But now, it’s his turn to make the journey—and there’s a big problem… he was the only embalmer! The village scribe must step up, using Empa’s writings to figure out the intricate mummification process.
In this engaging introduction to our Ancient Egyptian workshop, the leader will attempt embalming right before the children’s eyes—resulting in unexpected mishaps, the removal of ‘squishy’ organs, and plenty of laughter. A hands-on, immersive experience that brings history to life!

Other Activities
Egyptian Scribe – Children will get hands-on with ancient writing by using black ink, traditional reed pens, and genuine papyrus imported from Egypt.
Egyptian Games – They will enjoy playing two of the most famous board games from Ancient Egypt: Senet and Mancala, just like the Egyptians did thousands of years ago.
Egyptian City Builder – Through an interactive PowerPoint activity, children will collaborate to plan and construct their own Egyptian city. Can they design the ultimate civilization?
Artefact Investigation – Ari will introduce a variety of replica Ancient Egyptian artefacts, many crafted in modern Egypt. Best of all, children can touch, explore, and examine every item up close.
