Around The World Dance Workshops For Schools

Dance Days provides educational (and fun) dance workshops for primary, secondary and SEND schools. Our workshops are designed to enrich your pupils' learning away of the classroom. We have over 30 different dance styles to choose from, with many linking directly to school topics and projects. You can also build your own Dance Day and pick n mix the styles of dance, and this is very popular for schools that are hosting an international/multicultural day or week. We also work with schools during arts, health, wellbeing and sports days/weeks. We’ve worked with over 1750 schools and danced with over 650,000 pupils!

Format

From experience, 30 pupils per session work best. During a school day we can work with 7 to 8 sessions of 30 to 45 minutes. We can dance with a 1 form entry school in a full day.

Structure of the Day

Half Day Workshops (Limited Availability):
Either a morning (09:00 to 11:45) or afternoon (13:00 to 15:00). Ideal for 2 to 4 classes - Up to 4 sessions from 30 to 45 minutes.

Full Day Workshops
09:00 to 15:00.Ideal for 4 to 7 classes - Up to 7 sessions from 30 to 45 minutes.
Our multi-booking discount will be provided for 2 or more visits.

Suggested Session length:
15 - 20 minutes (Nursery)
30 minutes (Reception/KS1)
45 minutes - 60 minutes (KS2/KS3/KS4)

We can adjust the duration of the sessions to accommodate your school day, and we will provide timetable examples in the lead up to our visit.

Number of pupils per session:
Up to 30, this can be increased with staff support.

If you are a school with two or more forms, please let us know when you contact us. We will provide details and ideas on how everyone can participate. Your school hall or gym becomes our dance studio for the day.

Dance Days provides educational, interactive and fun dance workshops for schools and has been dancing with schools since 2013. We visit schools in London, the South East, the Midlands, the North West and Yorkshire. We are continuously building our team to enable further coverage of the UK. We inspire, educate and boost confidence through dance and provide a unique experience without breaking the budget.
