Cultural Dance Workshops
Celebrate the diversity within your school by having one of our cultural dance workshops with an 'aound the world' theme!
You can pick one country for your class to explore through dance, or several countries with different classes trying out the different dance styles.
You could even add in an informal performance assembly at the end of the day to see all the dances from each class!
Your Zest dance teacher will dress up to match your chosen country, and bring costumes, pictures and props to show at the start of each workshop. This really increases the children's learning potential and gets them excited for the workshops.
Our most popular countries that work well in dance for KS1 are:
India, Africa, Brazil, Egypt, China, Ukraine, Mexico, Spain, England
But let us know if you have a different country in mind, as i'm sure we can do it!

Benefits
Dance offers numerous benefits, including improved coordination, balance, and spatial awareness. It introduces children to dance terminology, enhancing their spoken English skills and even linking to maths concepts. Our Maths and Dance workshops are especially engaging for KS1 students.
Additionally, dance promotes a healthy lifestyle by encouraging physical activity and teaching the importance of staying fit from an early age. It's great at getting boys and girls to work together, making team-work fun!
Dance is an energetic and educational way to support overall development and well-being.
