Shakespeare Interactive - Primary School Workshops

Immersive Shakespeare for KS1 & KS2

An engaging 2‑hour school workshop for KS1 & KS2 where children act out a full Shakespeare play with minimal props.

Delivered by professional theatre practitioners from Finding the Will, our workshops make Shakespeare accessible, fun, and educational. Designed to boost language skills, confidence, creativity, and teamwork, the session offers an immersive experience that inspires both pupils and teachers. Ideal for complementing curriculum learning a love of drama in the classroom.

Regions

We are happy to travel nationwide however, as we are based in South West England, there may be additional costs for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Interactive Workshop is aimed at KS1 and KS2.

  • Children are encouraged to use their imaginations, answering questions and playing characters in the story.
  • Children require no prior knowledge of the play, in fact we actively encourage teachers not to reveal the story before we arrive.
  • Using minimal props and costumes the children act out the story and speak some of the original text.
  • For children who feel more comfortable answering questions than performing, ample opportunity is given for them to shine.
  • A complimentary Teachers’ Pack is provided.

Themes

  • Macbeth – When shall we three meet again?
  • A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Ill met by moonlight, proud Titania!
  • The Tempest – We are such stuff as dreams are made on.
  • Hamlet – To be or not to be?
  • Twelfth Night – If music be the food of love, play on!
  • Romeo and Juliet – Two households both alike in dignity.
