Step Into Britain During World War II
The workshop is structured around three enquiry questions:
- What started WW2?
- What was it like to be evacuated?
- How did women help Britain during the war?
Pupils explore key aspects of life during World War II through three immersive escape room challenges. They discover Winston Churchill's leadership during Britain's darkest moments, learn what it was like for children evacuated from cities during the Blitz, and investigate the vital roles women played on the Home Front and in wartime industries. Along the way, pupils encounter important historical vocabulary, collect virtual artefacts and develop a deeper understanding of how the war affected everyday life in Britain.
