Both are highly important and powerful city-states of Ancient Greece, but very different – and she needs the children’s help! As she works with your class through the morning, she outlines what life is like in both cities, so that they can help her decide. Consulting the Oracle – children play a game to find out what lies ahead in Ancient Greece. Growing up in Sparta What makes a Good Spartan Hoplite? Authentic weapons and armour. Dress a child as a soldier Play the authentic Greek board game of Achilles and Ajax (time permitting) Craft a souvenir Decision time!
