Primary Maths Workshop (KS1) for Schools

Maths workshop for primary schools

Introducing our Maths in a Box version workshop for KS1. This workshop was developed by an Aerospace Engineer to give young children a real-life insight in to real-life applications of mathematics. We have two different versions of this workshop to accommodate both Year 1 & Year 2 primary school students. It is perfect for maths activity days at schools.

We also provide KS2 maths workshops for Year 3, 4, 5 & 6, which you can explore here. Additionally, we provide secondary school maths workshops, which you can explore here.

Format

Primary: 3 sessions x 1 hr 30 mins or
2 sessions x 2 hrs 30 mins
(30 participants per session)

Age Groups

Y1 - Y2

Crack the Code

Children will work together to solve a series of maths questions to win a small prize.

Maths in a Box

Build a Bridge Using Mathematics

Children will perform mass and weight calculations to design and build a bridge to a given specification. They will learn the importance of various shapes in engineering.

Tailored Worksheets for Year Groups

We have produced different sets of worksheets suitable for each year group. The worksheet topics include numbers, counting, shapes, fractions, time and more.
