Electricity Workshop for Schools

Build circuits in the classroom to learn about electricity

This electricity workshop for schools covers curriculum-based topics such as voltage, current, resistance, power, insulation, conductivity, series, and parallel circuits. Moreover, students will gain an in-depth understanding of how batteries and generators work.

Format

Primary: 3 sessions x 1 hr 30 mins
(30 participants per session)
Secondary/Higher: 4 sessions x 1 hr 15 mins
(20 participants per session)

Age Groups

Y3 - Y13

Learn How Electricity Generators Work

Students will generate electricity using mini generators and learn about electromagnetism.

Mini Windmill Generator

Build Circuits on Breadboards

Build series and parallel circuits on breadboards to understand the relationship between voltage and current.

LED Breadboard Circuit

Build a Touch Switch Circuit

Build a touch switch circuit and turn on an LED.

Transistor Breadboard Circuit
