Barney’s Dog Safety Workshop teaches children how to stay safe around dogs while developing empathy, confidence and respect. Created by Laura, an experienced kennel manager with over 14 years of hands-on experience caring for and handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Laura also works with children through Girlguiding and has completed safeguarding training. Using Barney the teaching prop, children learn how dogs communicate, how to recognise body language, and what choices they can make around dogs through fun, interactive activities. Suitable for primary school children, with sessions adapted for different ages.
