Mona is a Space Science Engineer and accomplished Bgirl (Break-Dancer) with a unique blend of expertise in both engineering and the arts. With a background spanning multiple disciplines, she holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Space Science and Engineering. Her diverse experience includes significant contributions to space technology, sustainability, and mechanical engineering.
As a passionate advocate for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), Mona is dedicated to breaking down barriers and smashing stereotypes that often surround these fields. Her academic excellence is highlighted by her first-place award at the BARNET Science & Technology Challenge Day, showcasing her commitment to innovation and leadership.
In the arts, Mona has spent over six years as a talented Bgirl, performing and competing in breakdancing events across the UK. She has earned awards, including winning the StepIntoDance competition and Showcase (2014-2015), and has served as the President of the University of Surrey Breakdancing Society. Her leadership extends to teaching, training, and managing large charity events, where she uses her platform to inspire and empower others.
