Aircraft (Part 1) School Club Activities

Students will build a glider to learn aerodynamic

Students will build and test their own gliders, exploring how forces like lift, thrust, drag, and weight affect flight. They’ll experiment with flaps, ailerons, and elevators to see how these controls change movement, gaining a hands-on understanding of aerodynamics and the science behind how aircraft fly.

  • Once set up in the morning, we prefer to stay in the same classroom/s to run all of the sessions for the workshops. It allows us to run the sessions smoothly without any interruptions.

  • An indoor open space, such as a hall, is required for the final 15 minutes to fly the gliders after they have been made.
