Money is something every one of us has to deal with but how often do we actually talk about it? Rebecca Congreve is a primary teacher, entrepreneur and founder of Cash Academy, delivering engaging talks and interactive assemblies that make financial education relevant to real life. From KS2 pupils discovering what money really means, to teenagers preparing for adult life, young people entering the workplace, or community groups wanting to build financial confidence, Rebecca adapts her talks to the age, experience and needs of her audience. Sessions explore topics such as earning money, spending and saving, digital money, scams, financial choices, careers, entrepreneurship and preparing for the future. Rebecca combines her experience in education with the reality of running her own business, using stories, questions, scenarios, audience participation and real-life examples.

Making Money Relatable

Financial education doesn't have to mean a presentation full of facts.

Rebecca's assemblies use questions, relatable scenarios, audience participation and age-appropriate challenges to get children and young people thinking about the decisions they will make with money.

The content changes depending on the audience from simple everyday spending choices in KS2 to wages, bills, borrowing, scams and financial independence for older students.

Rebecca Congreve is a primary teacher, entrepreneur and founder of Cash Academy, a financial education platform helping children and young people build money confidence for real life.

After more than 12 years working in primary education, Rebecca combined her experience in the classroom with her passion for financial education to create Cash Academy.

As a teacher and business owner, Rebecca brings both perspectives to her talks: she understands how to engage children and young people, while also being able to speak honestly about earning money, running a business, taking risks, making mistakes and turning an idea into reality.

Her talks are designed to be practical, relatable and interactive – encouraging audiences to participate, question, discuss and think about how financial decisions connect to their own lives.

Rebecca speaks to audiences from KS2 through to post-16, higher education and adult/community groups, adapting her content and examples to make financial education meaningful at every stage.

Cross Curriculum Outcomes

Financial Literacy Audiences develop greater awareness of earning, spending, saving, budgeting, borrowing, digital money and financial decision-making. Numeracy Young people see how mathematical skills such as percentages, calculations and problem-solving are used in everyday financial situations. Careers Audiences explore different pathways into work, earning money, developing skills and preparing for financial independence. Entrepreneurship Young people explore how businesses begin, how entrepreneurs identify problems and opportunities, and how ideas can become real businesses. Digital Citizenship Audiences consider digital payments, online shopping, scams, fraud and making safer decisions online. Confidence Participants develop the confidence to ask questions about money and talk about financial decisions without embarrassment or judgement. Real-Life Preparation Older audiences gain a clearer understanding of some of the financial decisions they may encounter as they move towards adulthood.

Interactive School Assemblies: Engaging, age-appropriate talks for KS2 and secondary audiences. Keynote Talks: Longer talks exploring financial literacy, entrepreneurship, careers and Rebecca's journey from teacher to business owner. Student & Youth Talks: Relatable sessions for secondary schools, colleges and young people preparing for adult life. Community Talks: Financial confidence and money education for adult and community audiences.

Requirements

Schools and organisations should provide an appropriate space, seating where required, and supervising staff for younger audiences. For interactive assemblies, access to a screen/projector and sound system is preferred. Requirements can be discussed and adapted depending on the event and audience.
